A PACKAGE OF CONSTRUCTED NATURE

In A Package of Constructed Nature, paper becomes a miniature geological object, a cavernous space embedded in nature, and a story. This project begins by exploring the extreme characteristics of paper within a 30 cm x 30 cm base. Through acts of stacking, tearing, and structuring, a stack of books is transformed into a cave-like space that embodies the crafting work with strong senses. Along this carved-out path, columns appear non-straight, duplicated, and varied. Only when people notice the co-existence of architecture and nature does nature dominate. The object itself explores the horizontal dimension to move beyond the physical boundary, without a clear beginning or end—evoking a sense of indefinite space. This is the infinite within the finite. The limitation became a medium through which a limitless spatial experience is expressed. At the end, A Package of Constructed Nature invites us to see beyond form, to witness a reformation of paper—from flatness back to another form of nature.
